any good digital interface for hedd192?

Hi,
I plan to get one hedd192,i use PC(not protools),the audio interface i use now is
MOTU 896HD.The question is that is 896HD good enough for hedd192 to connec
t with AES/EBU??Or other better choice(digital interface to PC)?ps.i wont need
8ch I/O unit in future in my simple home studio>>>all i want is a good AES/EBU
interface that be able to run on PC..........another question,in this setup,do i need
external clock to be master clock??Or i can just let hedd192 to be master clock??

waiting for your answer.............thanx

If the 896 has an AES in then you should be fine. I believe, for the most part, you should be able to go into any digital interface from any digital interface and not have any signal degradation. You can use the HEDD as a master clock and it will likely improve the sound of the 896 A/Ds somewhat as well. I don't know if the 896 can do 192, so that could be a limitation if you were planning on recording @ 192.
