Seeking MIDI Drum Groove Style Analysis Post
Hi,

There was an absolutely -fantastic- post here or recording.org (I CAN'T REMEMBER! ARGHHH!) a while back that I cannot now find. It was an attempt to analyze the MIDI timing of various styles of drum grooves. It showed specific examples of where one ought to place kick/snare/hat ahead or behind beat to create many popular feels.

Can someone give me a link to this?

I think that's it... or at least a portion of it. I don't remember it as a PDF, but rather as a regular post. And I seem to recall that there were a lot more examples in the version I saw. But that -does- seem to be the one.

Perhaps this is an earlier version? Is there an updated version somewhere? Anyone?
