Faderport Weird Problem

Hello all,

Don't know if its too soon, but my troubleshooting mail to Presonus got no answer yet. Nor my google searchs and gearslutz search did helped... So i creating a thread...

I picked up a nice Presonus Faderport plugged, installed, no issues, following exactly the manual (for Win XP). Cubase 4 did recognize it, every buttom seem to work but the fader is very weird:

When it is controlled by the daw (ie: i alter the volume of the track) the motorized fader goes moving smoothly in a beautiful way.

But when i touch the fader to do automation, manual fixing of the track (the touch function) the DAW fader goes to -56.5db and never above that.

i tried to reinstall; reset; turn on/off; other midi port... same problem. Everything goes ok until i touch the fader, so the fader works from -infinite to -56.5db... so, it is useless to do any kind of automation.

Anyone with anything similar than that?

i've just downloaded the new driver, hope it will fix.

cheers
