This little lady is ALWAYS in my chair when I go to mix. Sometimes I get up for a break, and come back to find her laying on top of my laptop keyboard. Thank god I save often.

That's Ben, a drummer I do a bunch of projects with, and Ellie, my dog. She made a nest on the blanket while we were listening to a mix. Ben also watches Ellie when I'm out of town, so I wonder if that had anything to do with it...

my pets(i call my 2 dogs my "kiddles") never go into the studio. my brother in law has a ton of cats and a dog and they have selective bowel control and have a tendency to "play" around whatever is expensive... not making that same mistake in my place. plus the kiddles have free reign over most of the rest of the house, and our place isn't exactly small.

Man, so many of you are cat people.......creepy (now watch this turn into a cat vs dog thread!)

my old dog (r.i.p Zoe!) took a dump under the desk and in front of the patchbay one day when we were in the lounge eating. It wasn't my studio, my band was recording an album at said studio. I bailed with the dog shortly after, got a very nasty call on the drive home. The assistant engineer slipped in the turd by the patchbay and the main engineer didn't realize he had shit on his boots (from u der the table) until he had already tracked it into his new Porsche. The next call was from the studio owner saying pets weren't allowed in the studio anymore. Too bad though, she was a good girl and had the runs. When ya gotta go, YA GOTTA GO!
