New JZ V47, V67, V12

Here we go, they take aim at our desire for vintage sounding mics that are not clones per say. If I heard the video correctly it was like $1300??? I have heard some video clips of the Black Hole that were amazing but in a top end studio with great gear anybody should be able to make a quality mic sound amazing given enough time. Supposed to be at Namm in Anaheim in a few days. Anyone beta or heard this yet? Someone get a clip of it at NAMM for us please.

I love the BH3. It has it's own unique sound and sounds great. I can't wait to hear thier twist on a 47, 67, and 12.

These are all transformless microphones which I dont understand why they were designed this way since alot of the sound (even in solidstate mics) is in the large transformer.

I didn't try these new mics yet... but every mic that JZ put on the market should be considered and heard. It's worth because their products are well made with a unique design (at least I love it) and sounds good at a reasonable price (and they're made in Europe).
Of course will not fit every taste or expectations, mics are so a personal choice...and depends of the voice that the singer (or instrument) has... even the venerable ones sometimes don't fit that particular singer...

I'm not affiliated with them (unfortunately)... those are just my 0.02$ and my experience with their mics.

Bests,

Cheu

We have just made very interesting mic shootout using the new V47 vs real U47 and adding M49, Manley Gold, BH-2 and Horch RM2J. Will post the results soon (hopefully today)
