I need Positive energy

OK at the risk of sounding tooo whoo whoo I need every body to just think a good thought , for- Kevin to be able to pull off buying this ranch ( it is doable but just in the planning the offer stage) anyway, on this ranch there is an existing, exterior finished only out building, that If we do buy this place, will become a dedicated sound studio Right now inside it is just the log walls and a vaulted sheet rock ceiling with sky lights and a concrete slab floor. Sssoooooo send a pos thought please, Thanks Kev.
future studio with house behind

It looks like a really cool place man... You should go for it! It's important to stay connected to the nature. Many people have lost that connection.

wow cool guitars and drums, amps and stuff - you got good taste! The auralex's stuff kind of destroy the art! You should DIY absorbers, traps etc. Cool studio man!

small?

no studio too small, eh?

ok...

I'm a tabla player, and this year I'm recording 52 mini tabla solos.
Senn. 421 and AT AE5100 mics, UA DCS Remote Pre, FMR RNC, Edirol FA-101 into a Macbook running Logic 8, controlled with a Faderport.

I can't tell you how long it took me to figure out how to self-record while sitting on the ground behind a set of tabla!

loving your collection of outboard. this setup is almost exactly what i hope to comprise my studio with.

the 2 473's and 2 3124's, the 2 6176's and pair distressors and 160x's are right on the money.

Just moved into a new office a few weeks ago. It's a big step up from a bedroom at my folks' place, and the drum room sounds killer (relative to what I was in before).

2010 is gonna be a good year!

Thanks.
Tried to pick the best few units that i could squeeze into the space for the money.I am very happy with my decisions, but i am pretty much full now,so i need more space.Thats why i am rebuilding the desk.I built this one ,and its great, but if i need to get behind it i have to pull out the small rolling rack on the left under the keyboards and then slowly work the desk away from the wall. And this thing is heavy.Takes 5 to 10 minutes to pull it out.The new desk will be built in and i will be able to freely crawl behind it from removable front panels.Makes things much easier.

This is how a fine gear-collection has to look like in 2010!

I feel exactly this way about zer0ne's studio:

Very cool specialized place you got there. Can I contact you if I ever need a tabla part recorded?

Hey guys! Heres my modest setup, just rearranged on the 1st, since I took alot of it to a friends on new years eve so that we could have music and visualizers. The jam room is a wreck but I hope to clean it up here in the next few weeks. Not alot of outboard gear just a Sytek pre with BB mod on 3+4 into a Fireface 800. Happy new years everybody!
