Question Best customer support for nearfiled monitors?

Hey everyone,

I'm planning on upgrading my nearfield monitors and I want to encourage a company that has its act together when it comes to providing after sales support.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Yes!! What Fletcher said. Focal has been really awesome to deal with. And, of course, they make amazing monitors.

Thanks for the responses so far!

Being located in Canada, a company would score extra points if I could get any servicing issues resolved without having to ship across the border (e.g., U.S.A., Europe).

(I know I'm probably expecting too much, but hey, if you don't ask...)

So Focal and Blue Sky have fans.

I've seen the recent Adam quality thread and wasn't too impressed...

What about Barefoot, Event, Genelec, Dynaudio, K&H, KRK, etc?

Any good (or bad) experiences to share?

Thanks

I'm located in Canada. The Canadian Focal rep has been just amazing, and the service out of Quebec was perfect. PM me if you want, and I'll give you his number. I know he'd be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have. I really can't speak highly enough about the way I was treated. Good service seems to be getting harder to find these days. thumbsup

Well, i've owned a LOT of gear thru the years, and only one company has ever treated me like a king.

JBL!!!!

Peter Chaikin at JBL took better care of me than any other company.

He spent time with me on the room analysis, carefully going over the graphs with me. I had one of my 6328's quit, he had one on my door step in a day.

I'm only part time now, but if i were ever forced to buy another monitor again, it will be JBL.

AND.. of all the slutty gear i sold off last year (Lucas Limiters, Wunder mic's, API pre's etc) i KEPT my 6328 system with sub.

The only reason i'd ever get rid of that system, is if i went stone cold deaf. Even then, i'd be tempted to keep them :-)
