Holy Great River, Batman!

I've been listening back to a pair of acoustic guitars that I tracked for this band whose record I'm working on right now and I have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed with the Great River MP-2NV. I used a Brauner Valvet on the soundhole and a KM-84 on the 12th fret, with a Purple MC77 and an API 560 in conjuction with the GR. I think it sounds great... it probably helps that the guitars we used are a '53 Martin D-18 and a Collings D2HA.

I'll post a rough mix of the song for you'll to hear... we haven't gotten to the vox yet, but it will give you a better idea of how the acoustics sound without them. I think the drums sound kind of lame right now, but I'll tweak them out when the time comes... they are too loud also. I've never really worked with drums played with brushes so it's kind of new for me. Any suggestions? Oh yeah, and disregard the excessive reverb... I was just trying out a plugin to see how it sounds. And disregard the parts where there's a little bleed from the click track... we are going to redo that stuff. Thanks. Later.

Thanks for the advice... I guess it might have come off wrong. I was just pointing out those things that I thought were bad in case anyone else was going to mention them too. Some people just can't seem to realize it's just a ROUGH mix and they offer all sorts of critiques that are kind of off topic. Basically, I was just seeing if anyone else, besides myself, thought this was a kick ass acoustic sound. Ok, sorry for the extra post (just kidding)
