Digi 002 vs. RME Fireface/ Apogee

I'm looking for a little advice-
I am about to build a workstation, and I'm trying to way out the pros and cons of each option. I'll be using a MAC G5, and ultimately, I'll be working with samples and MIDI files in conjunction with live instrumentation and vocals. For the most part, I intend to be recording everything myself, so a limitation on inputs is not a huge concern. I'll be using Logic as well as ProTools.

I am considering the Digi 002 (rack), the RME Fireface or one of the lower cost Apogee inferfaces-any suggestions?

And this may be a stupid question-but does anyone have any thoughts on the Digi 002 firewire workstation module?

Thanks-any assistance is very much appreciated.

It's good that you are posting! However, if you do a search you will find many good opinions on all of these units posted by many fine engineers. I chose the fireface to do the specific job of a multitrack field recorder. Also, I wanted to use DAW's other than PTLE. It works very well with DP (4.6)
Good luck~!

I use aG5-002-Rosetta 800 rig and it gets the job done. Mainly, now I get to buy fun stuff, like mics and preamps.
