| Gear interested | Digi002R w/ soundcard via Adat & SPDIF
Hi there everyone... I'm getting ready to buy my first ProTools LE rig, (been on Logic and Cubase for years). Going to get the 002R for running PTs. We want to be able to run an 18 analog i/o setup in PTs (using ADAT and SPDIF) and 24 in Cubase & Logic. I've heard that ASIO drivers on the 002R really aren't the greatest, so I'm trying to find a (pair of) soundcard/s that operate standalone as converters/mic pres with phantom, where I can connect them to the 002R: ProTools 8 cha i/o, Adat from soundcard 1 to 002R 2 cha i/o, SPDIF from soundcard 2 to 002R 4 cha i/o analog line level to 002R cha's 5-8 (for the mic pre's) Cubase or Logic 16 cha from the sound cards in, 8 cha's Adat 002R to soundcard Any stable configurations? |
