Good - or great - Compression Plug-In?

I just searched this and saw a pretty long thread from 06. I'm guessing it might be a bit different so I'm asking anyhow. Any suggestions? Thanks...

btw - I really like RoughRider - I think its free - sometimes, its just not what I'm looking for.

Sonnox is very good for clean compression
PSP vintage warmer 2 does good things sometimes
UAD has a lot of good compression plugins, just like the SSL Duende, but both are dsp dependent.

Recently the native buzzwords are:

Waves CLA
PSP Old Timer
Softube CL1B
elysia mPressor

Between Waves SSL, Waves CLA and the Softube CL1B, as well as my Millennia Origin I have just about all the compression textures I need.
