Thread Starter | Mic Pre's and Recording Guitar Ok I have a nice little Pro Tools setup in my house. Just wondering your thoughts on an issue. Ok I usually mic my guitar amps using either a Sen 421 or just an old sm57. But I dont have good mic pres. So I was thinking of renting like amazing mic pres/eq's for a few days and laying all my guitar tracks down. How much will it help my sound? any advice? |

| hey there, i would recommend the listening session (the website).......Dan did several preamp shootouts over there, i found them very helpfull. cheers |
