how to hang a woofer to a mic stand?

hello

i've found a woofer and made the cable to use it as microphone, but i can't figure out how to hang it to a mic stand. i've seen it a lot of time in studios, seems they have a particular clip, but i don't remember how it is and i don't know where i can find it..

thanks

Ghetto solutions that leap to mid are to hang it from a boom stand using a zip strip or two, or to wrap automotive hose clamps around a straight stand, run zip strips thru the hose clamps and the speaker, then tighten the clamps down to hold it all in place.

Like Elvis sang, "in the ghetto..."

As far as I know you basically either need to manufacture your own or do what I do...

ZIP TIES!

I'm definitely open to other suggestions though, also!

Just stick it to the stand with the magnet.

thanks for the suggestions, but usually i've seen a sort of "clip" mounted over the stand, i would like to find something like that because seems the most solid and flexible solution

Take apart an SM58 clip - just take the part that attaches to the stand. Assuming you've got an NS10 cone, it fits in place of the part the clamps the mike - re-attach the screw through the hole in the woofer frame.

simple and elegant!

you could do what yamaha does with the Subkick and mount the speaker inside a small drum and then use drum hardware to hold it in place

or forget the stand altogether
attach bungee cords to the speaker and hook them on the rim of the kick drum itself
