Schertler acoustic pickup?

Hi Slutz,
has anyone experiences with the Schertler Bluestick pickup system? I'm looking for the most natural pickup system for acoustic guitar, I want to blend it with a "konventional" mikingtechnic to achieve a more "direct" sound.

Many thanks... Andreas

Bluestick

I have one in my Gibson Cascade. I think the sound of it depends on the guitar. I really LOVE the feel of it. I love that the guitar body wasn't destroyed with a big eq/preamp hole cut into it. The volume knob is very discreet and the guitar pickup can be taken out and the guitar restored to 100% unmodded acoustic. VERY NICE. The batteries do run out however and the instrument jack, also the place on the guitar where the strap goes, does get loose sometimes. In addition, I like to pull out a little bit of the mid range with an outboard eq, but it would be very useable without the extra eq. NICE THOUGH!

So do you think the Bluestick translates the unique sound of your Gibson Cascade or does the system have more or less it's own sound?
Thanks again... Andreas

Continuation of the classic FRAP. Very nice pickup system, stereo soundboard transducers with class A preamp module. Here is a thread with some more detail on installation, etc.
