Book on compression

I remember some tread people talking about a book on compression. I searched but could not find. Am I dreaming or is there such a book out there?

not a book, but a chapter from "mixing with your mind" on compression is the best resource I have come across.

I have this one, it covers quite a lot of FX , chapter on compression is not bad, although I would have liked something more detailled ....

Amazon.com: Sound FX: Unlocking the Creative Potential of Recording Studio Effects (9780240520322): Alex Case: Books

There are a lot of texts about compression which are mostly the same. But there was one topic in GS, people were talking about with great interest. I guess that was that chapter from Mixing with your mind. Isn't that book too expensive?
