Thread Starter | Different benefits of XLR or TRS Balanced Cables? Hey all, I just bought an ART Pro MPA II Dual Channel Mic Preamp, and I will be using it in conjunction with my Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1. I know the Audio Kontrol 1 has balanced TRS inputs and outputs, but I am a tad confused when looking at the back of the preamp: ![]() Is this to suggest that you can ONLY use XLR input......but the output can be EITHER XLR or TRS? And if thats the case...would the Hi-Z instrument jack input on the front of the unit be balanced? |

| Lives for gear | Main reason is 99.9% of mic cables are XLR, and are better IMHO... |
