Number of unfinished songs

You catch a nice progession of chords, melody, you think that it will be a hit, but you never finish it, looking for perfection...

Sounds familiar?

I've got about 150 unfinished songs.I am not telling you good songs...

And you?

It happens, right now i have bunch of unfinished songs... They will get finished one day, probably when the time is right.... Sometimes all i need to is to flesh it out with a drummer, or someone else....

God me too ...

I have to be TOTALLY in the mood for writing lyrics and that's once in a blue moon, so I have so many songs lying around with the gobbledygook lyrics that spew out of me when banging the vocal melody down.... Of course the problem is that I eventually get to actually LIKE my nonsense ramblings and it sounds a bit weird when I eventually get around to putting genuine lyrics on...

I'm sure you've all experienced THAT one ....

We may need a 'collaboration' thread..!

I've developed a very effective scheme where I just spend months and months before I get to the point of leaving a song unfinished. This greatly limits the number of unfinished songs I will have. You see, there's such a fine line between genius and not genius.

Well, here there are many good musicians, but little culture about "good music".We've got many pseudoartists coming from tv like american idol. There are just a few places in barcelona with live music, the major wants to keep it silent, this city is becoming just for tourism. It is hard to find good instruments at a good price, many of us are buying gear outside spain because of the price.Germany and UK are good places.

Believe me, you are lucky to be there and be able to have all that US stuff at fair prices.

Guess I'm a luxurious position: I have so many finished songs I don't have the time to record them all...that's also crap....
This used to be different though...endless loops and snippets laying around. Nothing with a head and a tail.
