Yes, it is just $1,149.00. Also if you buy a stereo pair you get the MoSA(stereo adapter) and two 12"TRS cables for free.

How would you characterize the different transformers? Interesting design feature.

Is it possible to have have them a different color with something special on it like your signature or something?

I would describe the Edcor as clear, punchy and brighter with a wider bandwidth(10hz-50khz). Similar to Lundahl's LL5402. The Carnhill, which is designed after the Neve's LO2567 is darker, rounder smoother high end with nice color.

As of now I offer the three woods. These are the natural color of the woods and I do not stain them. If you have another wood in mind I can do a custom plate. I will only do wood laminated to aluminum though(sorry to anyone who does not like the wood). All new units will have white cases and will be hand numbered and signed on the back.

Thanks a lot guys!

Does all buttons in work on your model?

Oh, I didn't think you were bashing at all. Thought I would make a note on your notation. You can absolute use all buttons in and ratio combination's. Thanks for your interest!

I am also a cabinet builder and finish with black an white lacquer all the time. There is actually no way I can do this and still infill the text.

Gaboon Ebony would be pretty nice. Rockler is currently back ordered on this right now, but i might be able to get some from the local store here is San Diego. Ebony is very expensive though and there would be a $45.00 increase per unit. Amazing wood though and I love to work with it.

I am glad you like it. The samples are actually the last revision with OEP in place of the edcor transformers. The edcor have a much wider bandwidth but all in all the will have the same effect. I will put some revised samples up in the coming weeks. I love the Carnhills with this circuitry but, the OEP/Edcors are nice because they can really help drums cut through in a modern rock mix. Carnhills sound great with blues, jazz and indie rock. Obviously there are no rules or standards and that's what's great about having the two, use what works and sounds best to you.

Thanks guys!

Wow. I came in here thinking OH BOY YET ANOTHER 1176 CLONE but you've really made this unique with the switchable trannies as well as the gorgeous wood finish. Good price, too!

I might have to start saving my pennies for a 240V Ebony version (or two!).

Well done!

I would hope it too. The MC77 also looks quite different then the Universal Audio reissue as well. Purple has also added a lot to the original design.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot airmate!

So regarding the Ebony, I will unfortunately not be able to do that. My supplier only sells it in 3" max width planks. And to get 4/4 custom milled would be extremely expensive. I will keep searching but unfortunately I don't think I will find any at the 5" width I need. If anyone would like a ebony color, I will offer to stain the walnut with ebony stain, infill text in white wax and clear lacquer over the top. This will result in a very dark, near black finish while still being able to see the walnut grain through the lacquer. This process will be at no extra costs.

Thanks again everyone!

of course, the 1st thing that popped into my head was whether it was poss to have both trannies, & make 'em switchable on the fly; ya beat me to it! you are gonna sell a BOATLOAD of these mate, trust me, es-PESH-ially at that $! they sound GREAT in the clips, for whatever that is worth. drums = edcor, bass = carny, vox = a tossup ( maybe carny on lead, & eddy on bvox...?). who woulda thought ANOTHER 1176 could be this promising? i think you have a winner here...

i know, this thing is genius, but i hate to praise it too much, for fear that the price will consistently go up............

it has gone up $50 already, although it is more than worth it when thinking about the price of a UA 1176LN

Thanks a lot for the kind words guys.

Tapehiss, the price will not be going up anytime soon. I imagine this price will remain for a year , most likely two.

On a side note, a lot of people ask me about the high shipping cost. I do not buy shipping in bulk. I pay what the average consumer pays if they walked into UPS. I add only $25.00 usd for Insurance($20.00) and packing material($5.00). Music distributors(sweetwater ect...) buys bulk shipping and can offer lower shipping costs.

Best,
Brandon
