Question to Motu 828 (the first one) owners!

Hi!

Does anybody know if I can use the 828 in the same way as an ALESIS AI3 or Behringer ADA8000 stand alone converter??? Can I use the 828 as an IN- or OUTPUT -extension for my existing soundcard via ADAT, without using FireWire or Motu drivers?

I had this interface when it just came out.

The simple answer is, no you can't pair it with another soundcard without using its drivers.
