Place to test monitors in NYC?

I'm heading down to NYC for a gig this weekend, and I'm hoping to find a place that will let me run a few songs through a bunch of different pairs of monitors. I'm looking at Yamaha HS-80m's, Adam A7's, KRK 8" somethings, Focal CMS-65, etc. Any ideas? I know Guitar Center, etc., might have some of what I'm looking for, but I was hoping someone would have suggestions about a good smaller shop that might offer better advice, and better service. Thanks!

I'm heading there next week, so I would also like to know some great places to kill some time, while the Mrs. scour nearby stores.

The more the merrier.

Hmm, I'm here in Manhattan and can really only think of Guitar Center, Sam Ash, and Manny's. All three of these stores pretty much have a similar selection, don't think you'll find focals at any of them. But they all have a setup for you to play a CD through the monitors. I can't really think of any smaller stores, nor any others with a selection of monitors.

As far as I know, Dale Pro Audio is the only NYC retailer that actually has a properly treated control room to audition monitors and gear in. Go to 19th street between 5th and 6th avenue. Dale is the place to go in NYC for gear. I am a very happy customer of Dale's. They have very good service and support, and the sales staff are not a bunch of idiots like the wannabe's at guitar center.

I am pretty sure that GS member Shane over at Alto music in NYC has a pair of Focals setup at his store. You have to contact him though to setup an appointment to go by.
(He is a real chill dude so i am sure it would be no problem).
