I'm trying to convince my keyboard player that he would get way more chics if he rocked out on a keytar. Problem is that it is kinda hard finding any. Any leads, alternatives? Note: I don't really think he will get chics with a keytar.

Alternatively he could get more dudes with a "wind Midi controller" but I'd rather stick with the keytar.

Face it, no matter what you slap across your shoulder, all keyboard players are nerds, except Stevie Wonder. Learn to play guitar or go back into your corner and shut up. Jim Williams Audio Upgrades |

i think you should own the fact that you are projecting, that it is in fact YOU who has the burning desire to slap 2 octaves of blistering plastic black and whites across your shirtless piano-key-necktied chest while belting out a-ha covers. gregoire del ubik |

OP's keyboard player here. Just came across this thread, and figure I'd post. So, I got the keytar shortly after this thread was posted. LOVED it. It became a staple. And guess what? I actually met my wife when she saw us play and "thought that the keytar player looked cute." So, it totally worked :D Thanks, Darin. Bonus pic of me rockin' the keytar... and piano tie ![]()
