How do you chain analog filter to multiple synths?

Hi thanks in advanced,

Well I have a handful of filters that I'd like to chain its effects to a bunch of synths. Do i need something called a patchbay to do that?

I hope someone could explain how to do exactly do that? I'm looking at the image below and i'm just puzzled.

A patchbay is probably the cheapest and most flexible way to do it, but perhaps you could be more specific about what you're trying to do?

hi, sure.

I have about 12rack synths and 3 analog filter modules. I would like all of my synths to be set up in an array so that when i turn a knob on one of the filter modules, all of the synths will be effected or if that's not possible at least 2++.

Thank you!

I'm no expert, but it seems like a mixer with three or more auxillary sends is a more appropriate solution here.

1. Connect all your synths to the mixer's channel line inputs
2. Connect each of your filters to an auxillary send
3. Assign the synth channels to the appropriate aux send(s)

The mixer will be more expensive than a patch bay, but depending on your overall needs, maybe you need one anyway?

I'm not really sure how to accomplish the same feat with a patchbay, but someone here undoubtedly will.

Good luck!
