Elixir for bass?

Hello, will the Buzz Elixir DI produce good results with passive electric bass, or will it require/prefer something in front such as radial passive etc? Sorry for the dumb question.

I use Elixir strings for both guitar and bass and have for years now. Love 'em.

Um....

Do I have to use Elixir strings if I use an Elixir Preamp?

I'm kidding, of course - the original question was about THE PREAMP NOT THE STRINGS

(regarding the Elixir - I've never used one myself but I love buzz gear and there are quite a few posts that I've read where people seem to love the DI!)

OK, now that's funny. I totally misread the OP and commented on the strings instead of the preamp. Sorry about that. Disregard (although the strings are pretty awesome).

It sounds huge and full range on bass, and it's very quiet at high gains too.

No DI necessary. The DI on the Elixir is great for bass. We use it and smile.
