Soundtrac Mixer need help

I've looking for a large mixer (24 or 32 ch.) for my home studio I've found
"Soundtrac Solitare" mixer.... on the web..... the price is very attractive compare to another model (Mid range line). The problem is I didn't know anything about this mixer and can find just only a few info about it. How about mic pre, EQ, self noice, service issue. Any experienced user who can help would be appreciate. I have 1 week to make a decission to let it go or take it. Now I'm sick of digital already. I'm plan to use it with Otari MX80 in the near future.

Joe Queer from the band The Queers has opened a new studio near Atlanta that features a 40 channel soundtracs solitaire.

He's a really nice guy and would probably love talking shop with you about his console.

Thanks mexicola
I'll ask him about this mixer performance. Any additional comment about this unit from current user?

I own a Soundtracs Inline 3832
I would upgrade to a Solitaire any day, I love the pre's, the EQ's and the routing possibilities on this desk.

Love it Love it Love it!!!

Since no-one has posted, here's the link:

Studio Systems UK - The Soundtracs Specialists! Analog mixing consoles, technical support, specs, and more...

On the site there's plenty of info and opinions about all the Soundtracs desks.

Which are cool boards. I would buy a Solitaire in decent condition in a heartbeat myself, should I be looking for a console.

From what I remember this thing is rather cool actually. No Q, only sweep eq, which is a bit of a pain for mixing, but then these days you can do the carving with plugs. At the time it kind of felt like the sound of a Jade with less features = not terribly magic, but no excuse at all to not get a great sound. I remember the auto was super easy as well.

Forgot to put that in while I was typing...
Mine came from Tim at Studio Systems.

I can guarantee that this guy is the real deal and knows all there is to knowand more about soundtracs. All his desks are in great condition and he's a great guy, really sorted me out and drove a long way to deliver the desk.
Thanks again Tim!!!

I used to teach a recording class @ San Francisco State. They had a Solitaire. I loved it thumbsup Very versatile.

I'm currently working on a SoundTracs Megas Studio. I'd jump on a Solitaire or Jade in a heartbeat. It is a true LFC.

Large & small faders can be automated.

I know its not in the same league, but how does a Soundtracs Midi PC compare?

I got mine for $500 from an engineer in LA. As a supplement to my ITB mixing I like it, the EQ's sound fine to me.

I tracked and mixed on that Solitaire.. great sounding board with very usable dynamics on every channel, very fast gates iirc.

From what I've seen when I looked into the used market, they can be found insanely cheap.
