Automatic "Assistant Engineer" type product

Didn't someone make a remote-control microphone positioner device of some sort a few years ago? Anyone know the name of the manufacturer? Did it work? Seems like a great product idea, if it worked in practical session use.

What I'm thinking of is a microphone stand with motorized swivels, etc. Or did I dream this?

I remember the unit you are talking about - but its been years since I have heard anyone talking about it.

There are plenty of remote controlled mounts for cameras- cheap, but usually they just pan and tilt from a single location. What you would probably want is an X-Y kind of thing - something that moves up and down and also left to right. Though tilting would be cool.

I say get an intern or get one of these:
