EQ Techniques: Dynamic vs Condenser

How do you guys treat these differently? I notice that i have to do a bit more eqing to dynamics to get rid of a boominess. I mainly use Beta58s and 57s. Do you guys process them any differently after that? less compression? more? just askin...

It's like the question how you spice your soup. WHICH soup? Close mic in front of a speaker? Search and destroy ringy resonances. Room mic? Search and lower room resonances, because so many rooms suck. Keep in mind that a lot mics except figure-8-ribbons are OMNIS on bass and low mids. Cheap condenser: ugly hi end. As a rule of thumb: If you use cheap EQ (read: most software EQ) CUT, don't boost. It will sound much better. Use low cut and hi cut on most things in the mix.
