| Lives for gear | Google Wave for Pre-Production I wanted to open a discussion regarding Google Wave and its possible use in doing pre-production, especially from afar. I just started working with a band from another state who are driving in to record a couple of months from now. I was thinking that it could be an interesting use of Google Wave to keep track of song ideas and changes, documentary style, in addition to being a streamlined venue for adjusting song structures alongside the band, etc. Any other ideas for uses? Comments? Then again, Google Wave might not be totally open by that time, either. It's still in the "preview" mode I think. |

| I just got an invite for Google Wave the other day. From the little that I have messed around with, it seems like it would be perfect for this purpose. The band can even embed the wave in their website if they are really into being social with their fans and it will update in real time.
