Portico 5042 vs Phoenix ?

I love Cranesong Phoenix plug-in but I'm real curious how Portico 5042
Tape Emulation compares to it, especially on 2 bus duties.
Did anyone compare these two? Thanks.

I'm interested on this too.
Maybe is a bit early for the Portico.

...and how does it relate to the Phoenix Audio "Nicerizer"... or the Empirical Labs "Fatso Jr."? ... and just how much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a Woodchuck could chuck wood? That's what I wanna know!!

Anyone make any lead-way on this one? If not, I have a Portico 5042 on the way and Phoenix in my studio. I am excited to compare the two units. Anyone have any ideas on how to conduct these tests in order to have the most level playing field?

Some people include a DA/AD loopback when comparing plugins to hardware, correcting any effect the converters might be having.

Considering the loopback is available to you for no more than the cost of a couple patch cords, if it is an effect that makes a difference, use it!

I'm surprised that there was no trademark controversy with the Cranesong Pheonix and the Thermionic Phoenix. They are both fatteners for the 2 bus. Caused confusion in this marketplace for me anyway.
