Dream studio! There was a feature on SOS or sthg a few years back. Now I get to see it from more angles!

I actually really liked Eye of the Hunter, so I'm a little disappointed that his new album won't be in the same style.

Still, Brendan's voice is so awesome that I'm sure I'll buy this anyway.

My favourite "band" of all time! And two of the most memorable and outstanding singers!

its annoying to see someone in such a nice big old building and not really using it. Cripes he plays electronic midi drums! gross!

Nice vid...
and Brendan is a spanner in the works for the "artists can really record themselves" argument in that thread that's going on and on at the moment

I really like his voice, got a cool 'old crooner' vibe about it...

at any rate, could you imagine him in any other space short of a Tibetan monastery?! That space is beautiful and perfect for him. Truly talented.
I saw DCD live at the Hollywood Bowl a few years ago with a full orchestra, it was quite stunning.

His voice over commentary is pure spinal tap, bet he took longer to write and record that than the album.

awesome studio.

Saturday's Child is still a favourite... as is The Carnival Is Over. A very cool place to work indeed.

The Carnival is over is such a rueful song! Loving it. Actually my favourite being the obvious Severance.

Would be awesome.

One of my all time DCD favs is the track "A Host of Seraphim"... although I don't think he had this place then, I sure could see a place like this inspiring music like that.

The music took me back to the chill rooms at the parties I was spinning at in the mid-90's. Cool and forward at the time, sounds a bit dated now.

I loved dcd's live record, brilliant from start to finish. Never had much love for their studio work, too 80's for my tastes.

The website, the voiceover on the vid... he comes off like a self-absorbed ******. nttawwt.

I always thought of Brendan Perry as a "wanna-be" magician who got lucky to work with a real witch - Lisa Gerrard. Her voice is really "arcane" Although I was moved as a teenager by quite some of his songs, like Severance, etc. but Lisa was the "mythic" DCD part to me.
