Folding Down a Stereo to mono or just taking the middle from middle and side?

I have a soundfield Mkv and want a mono signal for vocal so i can go via compressor to tape....(tape being radar in my world!)

any solutions?

The "M" in "MS" actually is L+R, so they're both the same thing.

I don't know if your Soundfield mic has some other specific way to access individual diaphragms.

Thanks good to know - so Middle of Middle and Side would be the answer

If you loose too much info that's only available in the Sides, you can use my DrMS to save this Side information into the Mid, using the Field section
