tube mic cable?

I've got an ADK TC mic, and would like to upgrade the cable from the mic to the power supply. Does Mogami make this cable? Is is a common cable that all tube mics use to connect to their power supply?

Thanks!

i would look for gotham GAC7 - it is great cable for tube mics
do a search for redco - they sell GAC7 at a good price - it has 7 lines plus a shield
with a red and a blue wire that are of a greater diameter to send dc to the tube....,.

be well

You might consider running the power on a seperate cable.

Don't know what vintage your TC is, but not too long ago ADK upgraded at least some of their multi-pin cables. Can't remember what brand of cable (I don't have that mic anymore) but it was considerably better quality (and had Neutrik connectors) than the old cheapies like I have on my A48.

Maybe give Larry V a call? He had offered to upgrade mine a long time ago but I have never got around to it. On the other hand.... cables can affect the sound, may be that you'll prefer the old one...

Requisite Audio will do custom re-cabling of tube mic cables, but you'll need to provide them with either the original connectors or identical connectors. They'll also need to know which pins carry power and which pins carry audio on both connectors because power carrying cables are wired differently to audio carrying cables.

As squeegybug says, there's no guarantee that you'll prefer the upgraded cable to the original cable.
