apogee rosetta, lynx card or firwire

I was wondering if anyone uses a lynx aes card with there rosetta or ad da16x. Or is the firwire option card a better route to go. I am using cubase sx 3.0 on a dual xeon pc. For some reason I wonder about one firewire cable carrying 24 channels of audio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
