Guitar Sim Software - Need these specific sounds

DISCLAIMER: I am a composer, finding guitar presets is hard for me. I am looking for 4-5 presets for a film I am working on. (Software guitar amp simulations). I don't have the chops to tune in my sound, I am not a guitarist. So I need well named presets and go from there. I own no guitar amp apps. Also sound quality is very important of course. I own most of the best sonic libraries.

-Dick Dale Lead (yah that pulp fiction)
-Amber (Warm, wet) from 311
-Sublime Santeria rhythm guitar - quazi surf
-Tombstone type Morricone Lead - The good and the bad and the ugly
-Really warm latin almost santana clean, wet sound for a "sex" vibe on a tango

Ok best wishes. Thanks so much for your help! AU or VST only

hey man - I don't want to come off sounding like a d*ck - but I'd hire a guitarist for the job - it will be faster, better and probably cheaper in the long run than trying to EMU those sounds - can't imagine it can be done, or done well without a guitarist.

Well you'd be very surprised what one can do. Hiring a guitar player for demos for the director is very costly especially when revisions are needed and picture changes come in.

Anyone else?

Well, if you're PT|HD based I highly recommend Digi's Eleven TDM plug-in. Sounds fantastic but like the post above, I find it difficult to believe you'll be able to achieve everything you want without a great guitar player.

Even if you use an amp sim, you still need the right guitar, right DI box (I use the REDDI), right preamp (I use a BAE 1073) and great conversion (I use a Lynx Aurora16). From there you'll need to use something along the lines of Digi RealTape Saturation and a nice outboard EQ. Even if you have all those components setup and in place, the person playing the guitar brings a lot to the table in terms of dialing in the tone by not only how the guitar is set but also with how the strings are played, pick weight, etc.

I think you should really consider hiring a session guitarist. Map out all the parts via MIDI so they are the exact notes you are looking for. Have the guitarist track through a chain as I described above and then, during the mix, you can mess around with the plug-in and tweak the sound to be exactly what you want.

If revisions are needed, the guitarist can retrack with the same signal chain and edit in parts wherever you will need them to be. You'll still have the same tone, sonic character, etc.

Guys - thanks again. Just to let you know I own a well known sampling company so I am an expert at getting results via sampling. I need to keep it all MIDI for many reasons. Believe me this is just a small piece of the track.

Unfortunately PT HD isn't part of my composing rig :(

Anything good for AU or VST? I mean there is guitar rig, the waves guitar plug, amplitude etc... I just don't know enough to judge them all.

Check out Line 6's PodFarm, there's a lot of different amps and pedal effects to choose from, plus there's a fairly large online community swapping presets and I would find it difficult to believe you wouldn't be able to locate those exact setups. Heck, I could probably even do it for ya!

Amplitube 2. Love it...easy to tweak, plug in direct and make my guitar sound like anything I want it to. I've done some compositions for a Production Library and everyone I've played the stuff back for has complimented my guitar sounds and asked how I got them.
