(2) Universal Audio 1176LN or (1) 2-1176

1. Do I want/need the push buttons on the 1176’s or can
I save some money and buy (1) Knobbed 2-1176?
(Are there other combinations of multiple buttons pushed that
anyone has used besides the "four-button" mode.)
(This is eluded to but never clearly defined.)

2. Is “stereo-matched” 2-1176 something I may kick
myself about later if I get (2) 1176LN’s?
(Is the matching "real" or "hype".)

One or other(s) being ordered in next couple of days.

Thanks,

The push buttons from the 1176 have been replaced by a selector knob on the 2-1176. There is even an all button selection on the 2-1176. In terms of functionality the 2-1176 is identical to the 1176 in every way. You can run each channel seperately and also in stereo. I would get yourself the 2-1176 and save yourself the money and the rack space, hope that helps - cheers!

I've had the 2-1176 for about 6 months and am perfectly happy with it. Doesn't take up as much space ( sooner or later I'll probably get another and have 4 1176s in the space of 2 ), and costs less than 2 seperate units. As far as I can tell, it works the same as the single unit.

Thanks, saving money is good.
(Except I know I never really "save money". It goes to the next "must have" item.)

Good, 6 months experience helps prove other
modes of multiple buttons pushed, other than well known "4 button mode"
don't exist or have limited use.
