Alesis AI-3 / Phase problems

Hi All,

Anyone out there using the Alesis AI-3?

I do believe that I´ve encountered a serious phase issue when monitoring in mono. everything seems to sound dull (especially high freq sounds, duh).
This goes for mono sounds aswell, they "shrink" and the presence is gone.

This did not happen when I used the digital out from the Adat Bridge->Tascam DA-20 -> Samson C-control.

At the moment we have to use the AI-3´s output 3-4 as master outputs since we got A TC3000 connected via s/pdif to the Adat bridge.

Sorry for my somewhat confusing description, but if you recognize the problem you probably know what I mean?

/Jens

I use one for spare outputs for Gigastudios or FX and such. Haven't run into any phase problems. Try swapping out your cables and see if that helps. Or you might have a bad unit.
