PT HD -> PT LE -> PT HD = delay?

Hi everyone.

I bought my session back from the studio to do a bit of extra editing on my version of LE.

When i took it back to the HD system there was noticeably large delays on any channels with Plug-Ins on.

All the Plug-ins used at the Studio were standard TDM except for one - RTAS PSP Vintage Warmer on the Drum Group insert.

All the TDM plug's become delay compensated RTAS in L.E. and then return to TDM in HD Correct?

Therefore, why was there delays on tracks when imported back into PT HD?

Thanks!

protools LE has no automatic delay compensation. when you get back to your HD system. make sure you have delay compensation active.

If you had Delay Compensation back on in the final HD version, then there is no delay on those tracks.

The original HD session and the final HD session would, if unedited throughout the process, be identical.

Pro Tools LE does NOT HAVE DELAY COMPENSATION. Whatever you were hearing while in LE was not delay compensated.

If you did any kind of printing of effects in LE, or anything time-based, it can be the source of the problem. If you did not do this, than you simply didn't have Delay Compensation on when you went back to HD.

Also, you seem to have thought plug-ins automatically changed to and back to TDM or RTAS. This does not happen.
