Well, the P4DMS that was misrouted to Mexico is in Canada customs as of 9:25 last night...

I've always found USPS Express Mail to be excellent service. I once had a piece going to Taiwan when an earthquake struck there, and it took them awhile, but they found it and got it there.

Me too. Actually, the only problem I have ever had with it was this one to Canada... Which they tried to deliver today btw... The thing sat in Canadian customs as long as it took my last shipment to France from the day I shipped until my customer received it, or around 4 days... Anyway, if you are reading this simpleplan, you can pick your P4DMS up today. Best Roger |

Glad it arrived! I think it went to Canada first and then got shipped to Mexico from there by mistake... Got into the wrong pallet. That would explain the delay in reporting it's location at first. The USPS people told me that the planes from SF to Canada don't stop over in Mexico FWIW! At least the Mexican mail authority had their heads together and got it corrected. Best Roger |

Not that it's really important, but I don't think it was sent from US to Canada to Mexico to Canada. It went from San Francisco to Mexico then up to Canada, which the tracking info confirms. I was informed that USPS sometimes sends a half filled plane to Mexico if they want to utilize 100% of the cargo hold. Probably a more likely scenario is that it was put on the wrong plane in California. Upon offloading the plane, this package was assigned a bar code by customs Canada, pre-processing. Anyways, it's here now so that's the main thing. |

No, that doesn't make sense... If it went to Mexico first it would not have taken 2 weeks days to get a location scan. SF(1/21/2011) Mexico (2/8/2011) There is a problem shipping to Canada because of border control... Haven't shipped to Mexico, but I would expect the same BS since we also share a border with them. On the other hand, France, Germay, Finland, Asia, anywhere actually 5 days average total shipping time. Canada never that fast EVER. The facts speak for themselves... Btw, I ship all the time internationally using USPS, and it is around 30% of the cost of FedEx and UPS is even more. This unit cost you $100 in shipping... You could expect $250-$300 using FedEx or UPS |

Hi Don, Well, sure... Anything's possible. Maybe not cost effective though. The new front is designed for Clarostat CP pots and the meter/switchboard is different... So, replace pots, panel, knobs, switchboard. Then remove mainboard and desolder the 15 conductor flex and wire in the new switchboard. Add labor, bake at 350 for 45 minutes and enjoy! Roger |

Hey Roger, I'm doing some serious down sizing. I was wondering if it was possible to trade my rack FCS for the 500 series version (if possible)? My unit is mint. Are the 500 version stereo units still available? BTW, awesome job. Cheers, PB |

Hi, Here are a couple of pics of a custom build we just finished... ![]() ![]() We can do these in the P3S Bus compressor or the P3S ME compressor. If you are interested, shoot me a PM or email. We have a limited quantity of these knobs right now, more on the way. Best Roger Foote FCS |

Hey rapfreak, Glad to hear the P4DMS is working out! I like 'em too, got 2 of them in the studio. One of them across the mains and one for tracking 2 mic feeds from my bass cabs. Roger |

Roger, That blue with the silver knobs looks awesome, I'm going to get rid of my STC-8/M and I will have to pick up a P3S ME like that.
