Thread Starter | Tascam 424 Sync with DAW
Hi, I have a Tascam 424 that I was thinking of tracking some drums or guitars to before bouncing into Cubase SX to mix with the rest of the project. I'm wary of the imperfect tape trasnport so was looking into using SMPTE out from the tape to slave Cubase to the Tascam. Would this cause a problem? The Cubase manual encourages strongly against slaving Cubase to anything without perfect transport. Also, how does Cubase sync to SMPTE? Do you just plug the SMPTE out from the tape into one of the Analog inputs on the soundcard (a 1010LT with RCA inputs). Thanks in advance! Regards |
