Please listen and critique...

This is the first song I have recorded with my new gear. Listen and let me know what you think. I think that the vocals still sound kind of thin but I;m not sure what to do to liven them up. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Ryan

Pretty cool stuff. You can hear everything clearly, pitch is good, and pretty cool guitar parts. The opening guitar is a bit too compressed and most of the tracks sound pretty dry, you could probably add some reverb and or delay. Where is the drum track from?
Keep it up. Peace

Pretty Cool Dude!! I agree that the track could use more space (reverbs, delays, etc.)
I do not think the vocal is thin.... I think you could add a fast stereo delay to fatten it up. EQ the delay to add in meat if you like. That was not cut too thin. It is totally workable. The guitar in the intro is cool with the compression, but when the solo happens it is too choked for my liking.... but I do not mind the compression in the intro. It works for the part. All in all, great job! Keep it up. Have fun playing with reverbs and delays.

It's a little odd to hear the pickup switching so loudly in the intro. Try turning off the EQ on the vox - (AM RADIO!) there's some weird stuff going on with it when he sings more relaxed, you may also want to try two tracks with different EQ's for each part. I like the rest of what's going on.

it will end up where it's supposed to

hey man great job.

I like the lyrics and agree with the previous comments re: more verb possibly and tight delays = a little more space.

as my wife is sleeping i'm listening in 7506 cans and it's a pretty overall fat sound.
when the drums start, the kick seems more on the left side of the image to me.

I'll give another listen when I can crank it proper...

I like the toms because they fill from left to right in drummers perspective,

I never do this for some reason.

I'm thinking maybe there's another rhythm gtr part which could fit in somewhere but I am also crazy.

commendations on putting your work out for critique,
even if it's in the 'wrong' part of the forum

ps this new gear you speak of, do tell!

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys. The drums are actually roland v drums and that pickupswitching sound is actually a filter pedal effect. I can't decide if I love it or hate it but I recorded that sound so it won't go away unless I re-record the track. The new gear I am using is a Firepod interface, Eureka mic pre and a Blurbird mic on vocals. I used a 57 on all of the guitar stuff and I was pretty surprised at the different sounds I could get when I played around with the impedence know on the pre. This doesn't sound like much but it is leaps and bounds from my old delta 44/DBX mini pre rig. I can't decide if I should buy another mic next or a pre/strip. I have been thinking of either an 1176, LA610, or a Chameleon Labs pre that my friend sounds incredibly similar to a Neve. The problem I'm having is that everyone I ask seems to have a different opinion as to which one is the best. Based on what you guys have heard, what should be my next logical addition to my gear. Thanks for all of the great input. Now time to play with verb and delays!!!
