Arrow The Compression Thread! Serial, Two stage and Parallel Compression and more!

Hi Guys!
Can you please explain the differences between Serial, Two Stage and Parallel compression? and how to do this technique(routing, connection, sends etc)??

Also share if you have any other compression Techniques and explain for which instruments or situation each technique is better?

** Please name the compressors you use and their settings.

Thanks!

So I guess doing a search on those topics didn't yield anything? Sorry to be "that guy," but come on. A search on "two stage compression" yielded 10 pages of results....

You are right! but I think is not a bad idea to discuss all those types of compression that Fuel is asking in one thread and be able to compare them.

well that is a good question:

There are some ways:

Ex1:
Vox that send signal or is bussed to Bus 1(Compressor 1) that goes to Bus 2 (with compressor 2) ..then this bus 2 goes to ST Bus(mix).. and you mix this with the Dry Vox Channel.

EX2:
Then you have the Vox Ch with 2 Compressors: Comp 1 into compressor 2 that goes into ST Bus.(Not dry signal here)

Yeah...Ex 1 many call it 2 Stage Compression.

So what is Serial Comprerssion? just one compression into another, without the Dry signal in parallel?????
