IMHO, bar none, you guys make the sexiest looking gear on earth. That looks dirty in the best way possible! I'm very excited to have some slots left in the rack.

Yep, time to get me one of those racks. API 500 or OSA, does it matter?

Selling some of my stereo mic pres in favor of a rack w/ Purple Biz, API, etc... and now these are going in there too!

Nice work! Any idea on price? thumbsup

Couldn't find a site for Shadow Hills, but here's the Vintage King link.

Gama 8

That link may be old. If you click on the picture you'll be redirected to another Vintage King site, which has the most f$#@!d navigation (or lack of) that I've ever seen.

But I must say, wow again! If you don't have an API rack, no worries. It's actually cheaper to get the 8-channel unit. I'm gonna have to hear these.

Here's a link for OSA (Old School Audio).

OSA

Atlas sells them. They also sell the Purple Audio Biz.

Thanks. I thought of just typing that in, but since it didn't come up on a search, I assumed there was no site.

That compressor looks insane! Now I see why Round Badge is getting one. I want to check out that 8-banger mic pre. And the comp now that I see it.

I just found this on the Vintage King web site -

Dual Channel Mic Pre $2000

A dual channel version of the Golden Age Microphone Amp, and Thirty-two channel summing mixer in a two rackspace package. The microphone preamp features three selectable output transformers, to create a broad pallet of sonic characteristics. Stepped input pots included.

Custom Nickel Transformer (hand wound transformer based on a L.A. custom console) Super clear and wonderful sounding.

Iron Transformer modern version of the class a St. Ives 1166 Neve output transformer.

The mode switch celects between microphone preamp and sixteen or thirty-two channel summing mixer. The summing mixer uses hand matched esoteric holco resistors, The same kind used in our mastering consoles and attenuators. The mixer output also uses the selectable output transformers, thus allowing three different sounding mixbusses.

Looks like it's time for a bigger rack!

Damn. Now I have to buy a lunchbox. Good thing is I could not afford a Gamma 8 so this is looking promising to a broke slutty slut like myself. 2 Gammas, 2 Biz pres, and 2 API eq's = tasty!

Checked out the two channel GAMA @Vintage King's site. $2000 with power supply I assume, but they list some 32 channel summing thing with the description of the 2 ch GAMA. What gives?

Sounds like the two channel version isn't merely two channels in a rack, sadly there's no more info about it on the website (or anywhere for that matter). Summing sounds interesting tho..

Doesn't Round Badge get at least one of every new kick ass piece of gear that comes out?

Must be a typo cuz for two grand I doubt it is much more than a 2ch pre with a power supply, unless it is just 2ch of summing like (option?) on the new TG-2.

Hi guys,
Ok, The Gama Deluxe, is a two channel mic pre, with switchable nickel, steel and iron (st ives 1166) output transformers. It has twenty-four position stepped switches, two magic eye level meters, and a summing buss that is switchable between sixteen and thirty-two channels. the summing buss uses esoteric holco resistors, the same ones in our mastering consoles, and are located two inches from the input transformers. It sounds amazing.
The deluxe is two rack spaces, has an engraved front panel, bakelite knobs, stellar power supply, and so on.
Website update pending.
