Looking for an PT engineer

Hey guys,

I'm looking for someone who can do some editing for protools for me (in LA, CA). Got some demos I need to turn in that has some shifty timing in the drum section. I want to be able to add loops to some of the songs. The project started without me and I eventually had to take over because things weren't getting done. The first producer had the drummer play without a click which I'm all for if you don't have to do overdubs with almost everything and don't wanna add loops.... What the heck was he thinking of??
Anyway, hit me and let me know, also don't break my balls on rates..

So the job is to take 'free drum timing' backing tracks tracks - and conform them to a constant BPM so you can complete the production & add loops where & when you feel like it?

Semi nightmare job for someone as ALL elements will need to be shifted about, gtrs, bass vocals.. etc..

But there will be plenty of folks that CAN do it!

Ball park estimate - $500 per song..

Yeah, sounds like it could be shifting ALL the performances to work with a clik... maybe tempo mapping as well... It's not a quick job, but I'd have to hear the tracks to say for sure...
I'd give you an estimate per song.... I'd GUESS, if not too much heavy lifting.... 2-400 bucks a tune.
Are the drums jjust moving a little? or is it shitty feel too? could be a couple ways to approach it.

feel free to PM me. I've got some open time ( I edit at home ) whilst i watch the little nipper. That will get me outta watching Barney.

PT nightmare

Hey,

I would be willing to help you get that done.

here is an example of my editing: 1st file is the full take, 2nd (the one on GS server) is the same take with major audioplasty.

I have a super fast AMD-64 on an NF3 computer, dual monitors, and a ton of plug-ins (like bundles from Voxengo, PSP, Waves Diamond) if needed.

I am in Northern California, and I have a solid 55K upload bandwidth.

Thanks J...

We could make it even easier.. We could just add loops with time stretching and so forth. The drummer really wasn't that bad (considering no click) but I just want to do it well. Maybe even just straigten out the parts that seem to be lagging and or speeding?
There's about 6 songs...
Thanks for the heads up

Craig...

Drums moving just a little but the songs I need to add loops to are the ones I'm of course more concerned with. Also I had an engineer put the songs on a grid and then we had to stop because of the New Orleans situation and he had family to take care of.

Maybe like you said hearing the songs will give you a better idea.
