Thread Starter | Jeff Buckley on MSNBC! MSNBC just used a nicely edited portion of "Hallelujah" to play out a segment of still shots of Hurricane Katrina victims. It was nicely done and very poignant. Thumbs up to the music producer for that call. thumbsup I'm blown away by the horrible conditions on the gulf coast. I've spent the last 2 days adding some cool new hardware to my rack and enjoying the results, and I feel so guilty to be relaxing in my air conditioning and comfort while the masses of people are suffering so much just a few hundred miles away. I'm on the 5th floor of a gulf front condo, and we've had a few close calls with storms over the years, with some damage last year that cost me 3 months of remodeling. Nothing remotely close what happened up there. This whole situation has me considering a new racking system for my hardware. I may pull all my pres,compressors,AD/DA, and FX and move them into separate mobile racks that I can evac with. One day I'm sure we'll be facing a Katrina as we haven't had a major storm hit since 1921. It's just a matter of time. My prayers are with all the victims of Katrina. |
