woo Jack

your friend did a magnificent job

with all great vocalists I bet he'll say the sound was Anthony

any info would be great..

did he record quick, slow? one take wonder or massive psychological coaxing?!

and the gear of course... was the "reverb" natural or added?

thanks!

I haven't heard the record and don't know anything about how it was recorded, but I know and have worked with Antony. I can attest to the fact that he has a strange and wonderful voice, so I wouldn't be surprised if what you are hearing is just... him!

You worked on Want Two? Drool.

Rufus is one of my many loves. Although I don't think he's been as consistent as he was in his self-titled/Poses days, Want Two was definitely an improvement over Want One.

Antony's voice, my god. Seriously, it's like Nina Simone with bigger balls (and Nina had balls, I think we can all agree on this). The break at the end of "hope there's someone" is like the sound of heaven. Anyone who can get Boy George to deliver a solid vocal is a prime diva in my book.
