DAE Error -9035 on New Drive, HELP!

Howdy, folks... Here's a plea for help:

I was running sessions off a LaCie d2 on an HD2 system. By the time we finished overdubs (12 songs) I only had 2.5 gigs of space free on the drive. I came home (to my MBox (don't laugh... all I do at home is edit). I was doing rough mixes for the client, and about 5 songs in, I get a DAE error -9035. Looking on Digi Answerbase, I see that the error shows up with a drive that is close to capacity. Makes sense, so (as digi recommends) I free up some space on the drive (I now have 45 gigs free), and turn down the open-ended record allocation to 10 minutes. I deleted the digi databases off all my drives. I still get the DAE error, even when opening up other sessions that *i just mixed* 10 minutes prior.

As a workaround, I copied the files to my internal drive (only 12 gigs free after the copy) and all worked well.

Here's the specs:

the HD2 system:
PT 6.9.1 on Mac OS 10.3.9
Dual 1.8 GHz G5

my home system:
PT LE 6.4 on Mac OS 10.3.9
1 GHz G4

Digi mentions that I may have to re-format the drive. but I thought i might ask here before i go buy *another* drive, just to make my d2 work.

HELP!

Hey Jon,

9035s are often caused by file or folder names with more than 31 characters. Go through the drive and make sure that all folders and files have fewer than 31 characters. Also, it's best to avoid non-alpha-numeric characters, some special characters are reserved for the os.
