Thread Starter | Mackie MDR MIDI Sync
I have a Mackie MDR. I have just purchased a MIDI breakout cable for the rear panel. I want to sync the MDR with my old Atari ST. The manual I have doesn't really help me much. I just want to record two or three tracks form the same MIDI module onto the Mackie, in sync! (The MIDI module I want to record is mono-timbral).

The MDR will sync to MTC (MIDI Time Code - NOT MIDI clock); it can be either master or slave. You will need to have the software on the Atari set up to either generate, or lock to MTC. There's a lot more info on the Mackie Forums : Mackie Forums Home: Hard Disk Recorders Some very helpful people there. You should look for a link to Mike Rivers' book ("The Last Mackie Hard Disk Recorder Manual" - or something like that...)and buy it. Scott |
