Here's something to listen to just to kill some time. I pulled out an old Fender Bandmaster that I haven't used in years and gave it some TLC and fired it up. Forgot what a great amp it is. Damn things are so underated 'cause they don't have reverb - but it's a great design. You can still get these old blackfaces cheap on the bay. But anyhow... I stuck a royer 121 right in the middle of the cone and panned it to left speaker and I put a Sm57 off center and panned it to the right. So if any of you have't tried a ribbon, here's a chance to hear the natural sound the puppies get. FYI, I ran a 1958 Les Paul Custom Historic direct to the amp.
