Anybody know if the latest green day cd was tracked on tape? Or if tape was used at any point (mixing)?.. |

i'm just guessing... but i think that the tracks saw digital editing at some point. the drums are very *very* tight. like robot-style. pro tools was in the chain somewhere. there's also some very well-timed plug-in effects going on in a couple of songs. i'd be interested to hear whether or not they tracked to tape & the dumped. the album does sound very good. --jon

I'd say they tracked all basics to tape and work vocals and arrangement in PT. There's an article on Digizine http://digidesign.com about the wokflow...from Digi's perspective!?
