Why did MJ's voice never develop like every teenanger?

What do you think Michael or his parents did so his voice never developed and got lower like every other teenanger?

What makes you think they *did* anything in the first place? And wouldn't such a question be better posed on a medical forum?

if i heard a teenager talk the way michael did as an adult, i'd be freaked the **** out. if i heard an adult talk the way michael did as an adult, i wouldn't think loads of it. same with david beckham or any other high voiced adult. pitch doesn't count for much.

i'd say his voice developed irregularly, but developed nevertheless.

I think Michael Jackson's pitch and breathiness was strictly an affect. I think he was trying to sound as much like Diana Ross as possible. Sorry, guys, my gaydar went off on Mike long ago. Classic, tragic, Drama Queen.

Once I saw Robbie Benson in an interview accidentally slip and speak in a normal, masculine voice -- but he quickly corrected himself. There ya go.

Just my opinion. YMMV.

I once saw and interview with, I think it was Quincy Jones or someone close to Mike, and they mentioned that his high pitched voice was totally an effect. They said he actually had a slightly deeper than normal voice and it would slip out from time to time when he was angry or flustered. I think Michael just wasn't happy with the person he was so he did everything he could to be someone else, changing his face, his skin color, and his voice among many other things.

Yes, his real voice was quite normal and not high pitched at all.

uh if you had a friggin clue, there are PLENTY of singers who sing FALSETTO all the time and actually have a good amount of cred based around their falsetto.

Also if Michael's bread and butter was his Falsetto voice then it would be painfully obvious that he did alot of speaking in his singing voice, which is a commonly taught technique by vocal coaches.

My vocal coach would talk like he had cotton candy testicles but that dude could hit high notes I only dreamt of until he taught me the techniqes and rules that would get me on the right track. He even spoke like that to his 5 kids lol.

It was hilarious in some ways but thats a school of thought that some folks ascribe to. Speak in your singing voice to preserve it.

I heard a prank call to Michael's house and he can do a bunch of different voices, so it wouldn't suprise me one bit if he had a deeper voice.

Peace
Illumination
