RIP Sky Saxon

Another one bites the dust, very sad, rock n roll to the end though.

One of my favourites:
YouTube - The Seeds - Mr Farmer

Bummer. I always loved The Seeds, and "Pushin' too Hard" was one of the first songs I learned the lead guitar solo to.

Cheers,

This one kind of hits home.

I loved the Seeds in all their wacky... wackiness.

I'm gonna have to put on "Pushin' Too Hard" and "Can't Seem to Make You Mine" back to back... and the rest...

Dang.

RIP, Mr Saxon.

PS... thanks for the video link. Sky didn't seem to really have the hang of the whole lip sync business, there. Damn, I loved that guy. I just put on the eponymous Seeds album... [sigh]

One of the underrated greats of rock and roll. RIP Sky, you'll be missed!

Sky was a good friend of mine. It is sad. I just mixed some new material today that he recorded with Billy Corgan. I will let you know when it is up online.

Ever since I was a kid when Pushin' Too Hard came out I thought that both The Seeds and Sky Saxon were VERY cool names!

They were the band that showed me there was something beyond the Beatles.
